The FCC issued a Public Notice this morning (attached) extending deadlines for most filings and public file uploads until at least Tuesday, November 18, with promises to be flexible where possible, and to further evaluate and announce whether a further extension would be needed before the new November 18 deadline. So, in most cases, broadcasters have some extra time to upload documents to their public inspection files. This appears to be in reaction to concerns that the FCC’s systems would not be able to accommodate all of the anticipated filings if they had to be submitted by tomorrow, as initially planned.
Note that there are a few limited exceptions to this general extension, so broadcasters need to review the Public Notice carefully and discuss all the ramifications with their attorneys.
