Kristina Hammerschmidt has been appointed News Director of KYW Newsradio (KYW-AM) in Philadelphia, effective November 19. A Philadelphia native, Hammerschmidt joined Entercom in 2017 as an editor and writer for KYW Newsradio. She previously served as a producer and writer for KYW-TV in Philadelphia, WFMZ-TV in Allentown, PA, and WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University.
