And it could save a lot of lives. 93.3 WMMR-FM’s Preston & Steve Show presented the 14th annual I Bleed For Preston & Steve Blood Drive to benefit the American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region on Saturday, June 15, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.

The Philadelphia station collected a record 1,443 productive units of blood, making it the largest Red Cross blood drive of its type in the nation, eclipsing a mark set last year. The annual I Bleed For Preston & Steve Blood Drive’s 14-year total for the single day, single collection is 16,410 pints of blood.

“I Bleed For Preston & Steve is one of the most highly anticipated blood drives in our region for our donors, volunteers, and staff alike,” said Alana Mauger, Communications Manager at the American Red Cross, Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region. “The blood we collected at this year’s drive alone will help up to 4,329 patients battle illness and injury. Many thanks to the entire WMMR team for their commitment to serve the Greater Philadelphia community. Together, we’re literally helping save lives.”
