Ric Harris

Ric Harris is President and General Manager of NBC10 (WCAU), Telemundo62 (WWSI), and NBC Sports Philadelphia. Harris brings more than 25 years of media industry experience to his role, the majority spent in general management and advertising sales leadership roles. He serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Philadelphia Ad Club, Police Athletic League and Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. He also serves as the Executive Champion for BEN, NBCUniversal’s employee resource group for African American employees.

Harris became President and General Manager of NBC10 and Telemundo62 in May 2015, after serving for two years as President and General Manager of NBC Connecticut / WVIT, the local station owned by NBCUniversal based in West Hartford. While at NBC Connecticut, he strengthened the station’s news performance, helping to lead the station to the top ranking in the market among Adults 25-54 in late news and to a solid number two in morning news. Harris also helped grow NBC Connecticut’s revenue share on a consistent basis, while solidifying the station’s community commitment through its Partners in a Caring Community initiative. Before being named President and General Manager of NBC Connecticut, Harris was Vice President of Sales for the station.

Harris joined NBCUniversal from Accenture, where he was Manager of Communications, Media and Technology for two-and-a-half years. In this role, he leveraged his industry experience on behalf of leading media companies to improve their sales and engagement results. Previously, he was Vice President of Digital Ad Sales for BET Interactive from 2008 to 2009. Before that, Harris served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media and Strategic Marketing for NBC Owned Television Stations from 2005 to 2007.

From 2000 to 2005, Harris led WEWS, the ABC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio as its Vice President and General Manager and was previously the General Sales Manager. He started his media career at the station as a Local Sales Account Executive. Harris also worked in sales roles at WOIO and WUAB, the CBS and UPN duopoly in Cleveland, and at Petry Television in Los Angeles.

Harris holds a master’s degree in Communications Management and a bachelor’s degree in Communications and English from John Carroll University. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Digital Video Committee. Harris is married and the proud father of three sons.
