President

Joe Conti

Joe Conti is a “bartender by birth”, born into a successful Bucks County restaurant family.  After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Joe found his way into serving the public winning 19 elections in 23 years as a local official and member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. A final tour of public service was the serving as CEO of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.  He has lectured at the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and served on the Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees.

Joe has a most interesting broadcasting thread in his background, as his father Walter, was a past owner of WBUX 1570 on your radio dial in Doylestown.  The station ownership included 1984 PAB Gold Medal Award winner, James A. Michener, Monday Night Football announcer “Dandy Don” Meredith and former PAB Board member George Pleasants, along with several local businessmen.  Former PAB President Richard Wyckoff was an announcer at the station early in his career.

So for Joe, looks like life has come full circle, serving as President of the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.
