Michael Young currently serves as the Managing Partner of HM3 Media, LLC, an advisory services company founded by Michael and his partners. The company represents Michael’s successful business and media expertise, and provides a range of business, media, advertising, sales, and sports marketing services.
Prior to HM3 Media, Michael spent 36-years in radio broadcasting, including a very distinguished 33-year tenure with CBS Radio. Michael served in various sales and executive leadership roles with CBS Radio including positions at CBS Radio Representatives (NY) and the CBS Radio Network (NY), as well as leading all facets of the CBS owned and operated stations in Pittsburgh (PA) (KDKA-AM, KDKA-FM, WBZZ-FM, and WDSY-FM). Michael and his team were responsible for developing and launching KDKA-FM (Sports Radio 93-7, The Fan), considered by many as one of the most successful radio station launches in recent years.
Michael also currently serves as a Director Emeritus on the Pennsylvania Association Of Broadcasters board. He has served on the board for several years in various capacities, including Joint Board Chairman, for the past several years.
Having spent over 22 years in the Pittsburgh market, Michael previously served as President of the Pittsburgh Radio Organization and Chairman of the Pittsburgh AIR (Achievement In Radio) Awards.
Michael, and his wife Barbara, currently reside in Pine Township, located north of Pittsburgh.
