WTAE-TV, the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA has an opening for a dynamic part-time Associate Director. The part-time Associate Director communicates and executes all technical aspects of live production, with all technical staff, including the Newscast Director, Producer, Technical Director, Audio Operator, Studio, and Engineering. You will report to the News Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Floor directing in the studio for live and taped broadcasts
• Assisting Newscast Director with all broadcasts and taped segments
• Occasional newscast and program directing
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous television news production experience preferred
• Understanding of newsroom systems ENPS and video playback systems preferred
• Technical know-how to resolve existing issues and to work around problems that arise during live news
• Can work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends
• Related military experience will be considered
